Private lessons

Learn from someone who teaches for a living

Matt teaches general music and choir at Brentwood Montessori during the school day. Private lessons get that same patience and structure — one student at a time.

What you can study

Voice Guitar Piano Songwriting Music basics for kids

$45 for 30 minutes · $80 for 60 minutes — online or in person in Nashville.

Beginners are especially welcome. Matt brings years of teaching experience to every lesson — and if a student ever needs something beyond what he can teach well, he'll happily point them to the right teacher.

About Matt

A Nashville artist & educator

Matt Long is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and music educator. By day he teaches general music to young students and choir to older ones at Brentwood Montessori; by night (and weekend) he performs his own songs and the ones everybody loves to sing along with.

His teaching philosophy and his stage philosophy are the same one: meet people where they are, keep it human, and let curiosity do the heavy lifting. Also — there will probably be tea.
